Patience

Patience is the best gift

That a parent can give a child

Patience when the little legs

Climb all over your tired body

Patience when the little hands

Tug and pull you when you ain’t looking

Patience when the little mouth

Keeps asking the same questions

Patience when the little heart

Asks for less work and more love

Patience is the best gift

That a child can give a parent
